Not worth the stress

Pros

Great opportunity to network and work with incredible companies in a variety of industries. Moveplan has an incredible concept, and it is rewarding seeing projects you work on come to life.

Cons

All of the positive reviews on here are probably fake or from new MovePlan employees in their first week. Trust the low reviews. I write this not in anger but as a warning to new employees. Management is disconnected and not in touch with reality or their employees. They just don't care, and their lack of support makes that extremely clear. Decisions are made without a thought on how it will effect their employees, and there seems to be no guidance. Depending on the client, it truly is sink or swim. The turnover is astronomical considering the prestige of the clients the company works with, and this is due to the fact that nobody trusts higher management. In my time, I have witnessed great employees leave due to MovePlan not being able to meet industry salary rates, ageism, and poor support/resources. The company is quick to throw you under the bus and does not want to assume responsibility for any wrong doing. Save yourself the stress, work somewhere else.

Pros

Great opportunity with this company. They will take just about anyone willing to work as long as you have a go getter mentality. It's good they haw opportunities to travel depending on the project location.

Cons

Don't ever have a life. If you have one swear clear or make sure it's something you can sacrifice. Don't ever get sick. Don't ever go to the ER because they will expect you to come in directly after discharge. They will not train you. You'll get a excel spreadsheet with info vague infor and dates and told make it work.

It’s a burn out job

Pros

You work with some good people/good clients The schedule is flexible, work from home can be flexible

Cons

Where their part is flexible, you are expected to be equally, if not more flexible. To be honest, it’s a tough job, and the company has a sink or swim mentality. They are very quick to find a scapegoat and push blame. There is no training, they will not invest in their employees. The overall feel of the company is that they prioritize money over their employees. They don’t give raises and will expect you to do project management functions before actually promoting you to project manager or paying you appropriately for the work you do.

MovePlan Group Response
5y
Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments. MovePlan takes all feedback very seriously and would like to provide a response. While MovePlan strives to have a great workplace culture, we recognise that we need to make some improvements in order to get there. This past year has brought about many challenges for organisations, and at MovePlan we decided to take this opportunity to look at where we stand today and what we want the organisation to be for our employees tomorrow. From our recent annual Employee Engagement survey, we learned a lot more about what matters to employees. That’s why we are focusing on what we need to do to build a culture where employees feel respected and valued for the work that they do every day. As part of this, we are focusing on Wellness, with local initiatives to help build more awareness about the importance of wellbeing at work. We also recognise that the nature of the work we do can be demanding and it is our goal to ensure that every employee receives the training and support necessary to make them successful. We are committed to working with our leadership team to make sure that they are able to better support our employees. We are excited about the positive changes that are on the horizon for MovePlan and we hope that together with your support, we can make this happen.
