I have been working at NVIDIA full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    - Makes you feel that you are inventing the future. - Competitive pay package and stock options. - Flexible work hours. - Option to work from home (depending on your manager). - Free food and transport (for india employees).

    Cons

    - People who are not self motivated can have hard time with the initial learning curve. - Bugs that are hard to reproduce and debug (can easily spend month on a single bug without being able to root cause). - Technology/software stack that is used for low level system software isn't something you can google up. Requires patience to understand and build knowledge.

I worked at NVIDIA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

liability for shareholders is limited. it's easy to transfer ownership by selling shares to another party. shareholders (often family members) can be employed by the company. the company can trade anywhere in Australia. taxation rates can be more favourable.

    Cons

Absence of a top-selling device: The Tegra mobile chips which NVIDIA manufactures have not found their way into a best-seller, like the iPhone. ... GPU slowdown: The GPU business, which makes up half of the company's revenue, experienced some hiccups in the previous quarter.

I have been working at NVIDIA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1. One of the highest paying jobs in semiconductor industry. Best stock options offered to employees. 2. Broad spectrum of work available to verification engineers. 3. Management recognizes individual for their effort and dedication. 4. Lots of opportunities to transcend basic job description and transcend to other domains, and use that knowledge to create new flows and get full stack knowledge. 5. Highly competitive work force, one will always be on their toes.

    Cons

Demanding job - a person using brute force approach won't find time for himself. One has to be creative and smart on his job to get work-life balance. Self-motivation, maverick thought process and critical thinking needs to be displayed to get recognition and move up the ladder as the peer group is very smart in the Indian offices.

I have been working at NVIDIA full-time

    Pros

Everything in Nvidia is best. Let it be salary , stocks , ESPP program , paid leaves and all sorts of additional leaves , work culture. Everything is good. Condition - You should be average or above avg to enjoy all these benefits. Low performers might have different experience.

    Cons

Work can be monotonous in long run if you stay in same team for many years. Tip - Switch teams if you see good opportunity

I have been working at NVIDIA full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    1. Good pay, one of the best in India. 2. Smart peers from whom you can learn. Mostly helpful. 3. Managers are respectful towards your leaves. No interruptions when you are on holidays. 3. A lot of relevant virtual (due to pandemic) events being organized which allows you to be fit, social and healthy. Depends on your team/manager if you'd get time to attend these.

    Cons

    1. One of the best places to work (only if you end up under a good manager). 2. About my team, I used to get lot of planned and unplanned work irrespective of if I was comfortable or not, there is explicit expectations set from manager to work long hours. You can't refuse to work long hours, you'll still get asked to work longer hours even if you try to resist.
