Salary is not competitive with other nonprofits of similar caliber

The organization started growing through a number of DEI challenges 6 or so years ago and is a much healthier workplace today, but still has room for growth, including promoting racial diversity in hiring, especially amongst policy staff, and hiring a Director of People and Culture (a long-standing promise to staff that was postponed until we complete an internal restructuring process).
