Terrible Boss

Tutoring itself is fairly enjoyable.

Cons

The boss is rude, condescending and narcissistic - a nightmare to work for. She treats her staff and the clients with a total lack of respect. £20 an hour is not worth having to deal with this woman, and is barely anything considering the company charges £45 an hour for clients. Factoring in travel and additional expenses (printing materials and acquiring textbooks), the pay really does not amount to much at all. I left because I couldn't stand working for this woman anymore.

Marilyn Brydges (the founder) was an awful manager and bullied me as an employee. Very rude and abrupt and later found out she had bullied previous employees before. Would expect replies to emails she sent at all hours (including middle of the night and weekends). Would not recommend the job due to this horrendous woman.

Honestly nothing at all, do not waste your time

Such bad management from Emma, will message at 9pm at night, rude and passive aggressive tone. I felt like I was speaking to a child. Definitely needs more training. Such poor pay too. They cancelled an appointment last minute and gave me an alternative day between a 1 hour time period which I could obviously not make and then cancelled the whole appointment. Honestly do not waste your time. I should have read the reviews earlier of how bad this company is. If they cannot look after the tutors, what makes you think they will care about looking after these paying customers
