Pros

You get involved in some interesting projects and will get good experience. The team is supportive and will give their time to help. The tools are useful.

Cons

You will give and give and give and get nothing in return, literally nothing. When you get an offer and you see the contract, that should tell you everything you need to know, all the warning signs are there and alarm bells should be ringing. This place is extremely stuck in its ways, they will dictate where you work (and you cannot work anywhere but your “uk registered address”). Once you book your leave, that is the nail in the coffin, you cannot make changes. If you haven’t booked your leave for the year, be sure that they will hound you from the beginning of the year to do so. Every request you ask of them, no matter how small WILL be met with resistance so be prepared to fight tooth and nail if you want it. Extremely stubborn, uncompromising and want to control everything. The annual leave, versus the hours, overtime and all that you give for nothing in return will destroy your soul, leave well alone. You have been warned.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It’s fantastic that you were engaged in projects that you consider both interesting and rewarding for your professional development. Our breadth and depth of projects are part of who we are. In response to your specific points: • Regarding where you work, this is simply untrue. Indeed in the last 2 years we have had employees work and return to countries as diverse as Australia, Greece and South Africa to work during the pandemic. As with most organisations across the globe, Covid has presented us with an opportunity to rethink our ways of working and our hybrid model with 100% flexibility for remote employees is now fully operational. • Regarding leave, again this is simply not the case in contract or in deed. As with many SME businesses while we have required employees to take leave on a quarterly basis to ensure a balance between project demand and resource supply, we have given huge holiday flexibility to staff during this difficult time, with many taking extended and altered leave based on needs. As a business psychology practice we continue to invest heavily in proactively supporting the mental health and wellness of each of our colleagues. We hope that you’ve found somewhere that fits your needs and working patterns better.

Pros

- Given lots of opportunities that are usually only given to experienced consultants. - If you are a personality that likes challenge and achievement, you will have a chance to get both. - Interesting in-house psychometric products In summary, this is an opportunity to cut your teeth as an ambitious first-time consultant

Cons

- Small start-up pretending to be a big consultancy, creates problems when you are trying to deliver big projects with minimal resources - Micromanagement: very little autonomy, lots of criticism and negative feedback on your work, very little positive reinforcement - Projects and proposals often fail to meet deadlines or go over budget because of regular changes made by management - Managers do not have the necessary skills, they seem to be "YES" people who suck up to the CEO - No overtime pay, even though the culture obliges you to work long hours (Until 8 pm) and often on weekends - LONG meetings. Watch 30 minutes turn into an hour and a half. This in turn means the next meeting gets delayed by an hour. I have had to stay behind after hours to attend the last meeting of the day - The CEO regularly says they did amazing and doesn't mention any time they made a mistake, they're happy to use someone else as an example, in public and in front of the individual - If you require more support in preparing for a project delivery, you will have to really dig your heels in and insist, management will persist in "encouraging" you to go ahead - When suffering from burnout I was informed that I really did not have that much to do Finally, this consultancy is not a wise choice for a Senior Consultant. There are few opportunities for them and they will find themselves doing consultant level work or fighting with the management when trying to enact change. The Senior Consultant's desk was like a revolving door, changing inhabitant with every quarter.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. It is disturbing that you state you had burnout and that your approach for help was allegedly ignored. As a company of psychologists this is shocking. As a business we pride ourselves on ensuring the mental wellbeing of all employees and to that end during Covid for example, daily check ins were instituted to ensure no member of this company felt either isolated, disconnected or unsupported. Without further details we cannot comment further. On a wider note, we appreciate the pace and size of our projects is exciting for some and is challenging for others. Our managers are highly passionate about the business and what might seem like micromanagement from your perspective comes from a profound commitment to delighting clients, delivering best practice and supporting the professional development of our colleagues. We trust our team of talented colleagues to do their best and deliver great work, and provide our support, guidance and feedback to enable that. We recognise we’ve always got room to grow and get better. We’ve been working on improving time management and project support across the business. We have also invested in building a highly experienced and talented team of senior consultants with strong capabilities in sales and client account management. We really do value and appreciate all the hard work, innovation, collaboration and commitment shown to us. We continue to be future focused and will take your comments on board.

Pros

None - this place strips you of the will to live

Cons

This place is the definition of micro-managing. Look on LinkedIn and you will find endless people who have stayed 4 months or less The hours are ridiculous the management are rude, condescending and paranoid How this place is still running is farcical The roles are monotonous This isn’t consulting They make you work Saturdays and send you emails saying ‘this needs to be done by COB Sunday’ - business doesn’t even open on Sundays let alone close!!

It is disappointing to read a review that promotes the idea that any system be it an organisation or the people within it have no pros whatsoever. In response to your stated experience, in line with our ethos of excellence, we pride ourselves on delighting our clients and to that end expect all employees to go above and beyond to deliver on their commitments. Setting the bar high is part of who we are. We appreciate this isn’t the right environment for everyone. Regarding your claim of PTSD, we can only encourage you to reconnect with us on this matter as we have no knowledge of it whatsoever and we take this accusation most seriously and deny it most strenuously. We really do value and appreciate all the hard work, innovation, collaboration and commitment shown to us. We continue to be future focused and will take your comments on board.
