1) Management are hardly ever present. Won’t spend time actually doing proceedures so often have unrealistic expectations. 2) Chronically understaffed due to high turnover. Moral often very low. 3) Safety is not a priority. Concerns about broken equipment and unsafe procedures are largely ignored. Only addressed after a major incident. 4) Lack of training. Employees often expected to take on tasks outside of their job description. 5) Very little opportunity for growth unless you are a favourite of management.
