Pros

- Convenient location - Clean work environment

Cons

- No focus on staff - Very little incentive in all areas including sales - Very top down management style - CEO seems to have to force herself to engage with staff for about 10 seconds a week - Disengaged Sr. management - Unfair sales structure resulting in one or two sales staff benefiting while the rest struggle - Little to no spending on marketing - You will be fired if you put the colour pink in your email signature as per the CEO - Employees seem driven by fear of losing their jobs - Broken business processes which leads to frustrated staff and finger pointing. Management almost never takes responsibility. (typical sh*t rolls down hill environment) - Expects results without investing in marketing or staff - Extremely micro-managed

Pros

Location - great if you're West of Toronto. A few great co-workers. Potential to travel if involved in events. Pay seems to be competitive for the area. Benefits aren't terrible.

Cons

Due to the low autonomy there are very little opportunities to dive into exciting projects. No training or growth programs. No pathways to move up and achieve more. You don't feel like you are in it for something. It's just a job. There's no passion behind the company. Company culture can be gossipy and childish, no trust among co-workers due to no trust from leadership. While there can be moments of fun, it's rare to see the CEO or President around. Very little social interaction. Managers/execs are not really decision makers as they all just do what CEO tells them to do. They aren't truly given the opportunity to lead. Which is too bad, as many of them could bring so much more to the business if they were given trust, autonomy and the ability to try new things or even be given a budget. Watching a female CEO who takes power rather than give it to others is very disheartening. She could be so much more to so many. Job changes at the drop of a dime without solid training which can lead to failure (often wondered if that was the point). They like people to be IN the office with very few work from home opportunities. Also looked upon favourably if you answer emails in the evening and on weekend. Very little trust is given to their employees. New ideas are not welcome no matter how often they try to say otherwise. Very closed minded and judgemental.
