In my short time here, I can say I am truly grateful. The organization is full of intelligent and thoughtful employees, including great leadership. The culture is truly visible well before getting the rundown of RainTech's core values.

Pros

The company creates a welcoming and supportive environment. I felt at home from day 1. Leadership is approachable, benefits are excellent, and they support professional growth and work-life balance.

Cons

Transitioning from remote to in-office was an adjustment for me personally when I started here. The office environment is great it just took some time to get used to after so many years at home.

Pros

It’s hard to put into words how much RainTech has meant to me over the years. As Senior Everything Engineer/Administrator/CTO, I’ve had a front-row seat to some incredible growth—not just in the business, but in the people, the culture, and the tech we’ve built. We’ve tackled some truly wild infrastructure challenges, pulled off complex migrations, spun up DR environments across datacenters, and delivered some damn solid solutions for clients who trusted us to keep their businesses running. But what made it all worth it wasn’t just the tech... it was the people. The team at RainTech is full of smart, scrappy, hardworking folks who genuinely care about doing right by each other and by our clients. No ego, no BS, just people showing up every day and giving a damn. I’ve learned a ton, I’ve pushed myself further than I thought I could, and I’ve been lucky enough to be surrounded by people I respect both professionally and personally. While I'm leaving the company and possibly the field of IT, it was more a personal decision than a decision based on the company. I needed a change, as I've been doing this an incredibly long time and have always wanted to know what it would feel like to be in a different seat and not flying the aircraft, so to speak. Leaving in two weeks isn’t easy. It’s bittersweet. But I’m proud of what we’ve built and the legacy that’s being carried forward. RainTech is in good hands, and I’ll always root for the team, Andrew, Eric, Joy, Bobby, and countless others who have had my back. If you’re a business looking for a partner who won’t just fix your stuff, but actually care about your success, RainTech’s the real deal. And who knows, maybe I'll be back at some point. I would be open to the opportunity even at a reduced capacity to balance my work, life, and family.

Cons

Susceptible to a lot of client mergers and acquisitions in recent years, which I suspect is not unique to this MSP in any way. RainTech has always overcome these challenges, and I hope they continue to do so in the future.
