Pros

A growing startup that has actual users

Cons

Management treats employees like soldiers, you get yelled at periodically. Somewhat 'ars' culture: at a 100-people COVID-19 zoom, the CEO offered to send a fake SMS to guys that can't stay at home with their wives any longer, threatening to fire them "unless they come work at the office", so they have an excuse to get out of home. Basic software development practices are unheard-of. Managers are amateur and proud. Immediately after the COVID crisis began, the CEO prohibited working from home, regarding the virus as 'just a flu'. You're explicitly discouraged to have a work/life balance, because "we're gonna stay here until 1AM if the problem isn't solved". Working hours are measured via fingerprint, because of course no-one can be trusted. Websites are blocked unless related to work somehow (censorship).

Hi Former Rapyder. Thanks for sharing your views. Rapyd takes a lot of pride in our culture and work environment. It's a key reason we are one of the fastest-growing Fintech startups in the world. But, our fast-paced and high-intensity work environment might not suit everyone perfectly. Due to the global nature of our work we certainly do work longer hours sometimes. That's why we are constantly checking in on our teams to understand how they are doing through things like companywide employee satisfaction surveys, 1:1 with HR at least quarterly, town halls with open and anonymous Q&A and fireside chats with our global executive team. As a result, the vast majority of our employees are happy to work at Rapyd. In our most recent employee satisfaction survey 94% of our staff in Tel Aviv indicated that overall they were happy to work at Rapyd, and 86% said their managers visibly demonstrated a commitment to quality. Despite these great results, we continue improving and launched a mentorship program among many other initiatives to improve satisfaction and overly professionalism. We're sorry to hear that your experience wasn't as positive as you wished, but thank you for your feedback and good luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

- The company has a nice gym for staff to use in Israel (if you go to work for that) - The company provides manicures for staff in Israel (if you go to work for that) - The company has a nice restaurant for staff in Israel (if you go to work for that) Unfortunately none of those things help staff develop their professional skills.

Cons

- High staff turnover due to significant underlying issues across the business (Product, Finance, Customer Support, Sales) - Company executives only care about themselves and their personal enrichment (note Rapyd has a private Jet, however staff were not paid bonuses in 2022 and were given no inflation adjustments to their salaries) - Poorly built products meaning clients will hate you for the damage you do to them or other internal teams will put enormous pressure on you to fix shattered glass.

Pros

Very engaging work, great colleagues,

Cons

1. An owner's mindset isn't encouraged. A lot of fruitful discussions get closed 'because Arik wants it'. People stop being engaged because of that. 2. The company believes culture is happy hour and photo ops. There isn't a focus on employee welfare; many don't have health insurance 3. Lots of promises and not a lot of follow through. When welfare is brought up, there are promises to do better but nothing gets fixed. 4. The management seem stingy especially when it comes to treating employees fairly. 5. There is a general lack of empathy; others have listed the ask to come into the office during COVID-19, the way people with no childcare feel like their jobs and health are at risk if they don't. No health insurance during COVID-19... 6. Mistakes in hiring are left too long

Thanks for sharing your views and concerns. All Rapyd employees receive the option for health care coverage as a standard benefit for our global workforce. There has been no change in company policy on this due to the COVID situation in terms of insurance coverage. All employees who wish to have it can get coverage. In regards to your comments about culture and work environment - it’s something the company takes very seriously. It's a key reason we are one of the fastest-growing Fintech startups in the world. We constantly check with our teams to understand how they are doing through initiatives from company-wide employee satisfaction surveys, one-on-one conversations with regional HR managers on a quarterly basis, global town-hall meetings with open and anonymous questions and answers, and fireside chats with our global executive team. As a result, the vast majority of our employees are happy to work at Rapyd. In our most recent employee satisfaction survey over 90% of our staff indicated that overall they were happy to work at Rapyd, and 86% said their managers visibly demonstrated a commitment to quality. Despite these great results, we continue improving and launched a mentorship program among many other initiatives to improve satisfaction and overly professionalism. We're sorry to hear that your experience hasn't been as positive as you wished, but thank you for your feedback.
