Pros

1. Forbes 100 company, World class company 2. Cash Rich - Good infrastructure and ability to lure talented pool of researchers 3. Global exposure

Cons

1. Frequent organizational changes - have seen a change every 6 months 2. Unprofessional HR behaviour and policies with lot of loopholes 3. Managers (~90%) are scared of taking decisions and keep passing the buck to keep their leaders happy 4. Indecisive leadership, Senior Management would rely heavily on consultants and are paralyzed by risk aversion 5. Absolutely no transparency on salaries and increments that can be sought 6. Compliances and Ethics are all on paper / policy alone (in India)

Pros

1. Work life balance 2. Access to world class literature and market database 3. Left over GE culture

Cons

1. "C" grade leadership at STC-B 2. Managers and few senior technical people are big failures and working to SNATCH the authorship and inventorship. Don't be surprised with 20-50 patents on managers name because they are forcing their names in each patent by creating fear within employee's. 3. Regional politics seems to be dominating in this organization. ... Sab Andhra Basic Industrial Corporation ... This is a demotivating environment spreading very fast which is forcing good people to leave this organization. 4. Trouble in access to Saudi based manufacturing details is stopping every individual to make any contribution. Technologist got stuck in LEGAL as well as Political TRAP of the organization. Even though the SABIC wants to develop a R&D culture but legal and political nature of the organization is spoiling all efforts. 5. Instead of focussing on Talent development and next gen leader creation, STC-B leadership is busy in SPOILING talent and next gen leaders to save their skin. 6. Managers are busy in blaming HR systems 7. All these things are creating TRUST issues and affecting SABIC as a brand, if any.
