Pros

Projects are usually tied to film, TV, streaming, or media, so the work is more interesting than in a standard research job. The team is smart, and I’ve learned a lot from my colleagues about entertainment research tools, audience testing, and how clients use the results. The benefits are good, with health insurance and a 401(k), and there are some fun perks, like early screenings.

Cons

It can be stressful and really fast-paced around deadlines.

- Hands-on experience with large datasets - Culture of cooperation, not competition - Project deliverables are clear and don’t change midway - Routines that keep things running smoothly

Cons

If you want a job with a lot of downtime, this isn’t it.

Pros

Learning new skills through exposure to entertainment audience research (not done it before). Working on projects that shape campaign and release decisions. Good tools for reporting and tracking. Decent pay and benefits. Pleasant and knowledgeable coworkers.

Cons

Attention to detail required all the time, which can be exhausting.
