Pros

- You may get a chance to work with few brilliant colleagues if you are in VLSI or Core. -

Cons

- Totally doomde cloud group. They can layoff employees of that group any time. It is just a ticking time bomb. - Nobody cares about employees. I know a colleague who got mental and physical health issues because of insane work load. - Many completely useless toxic managers instead of great engineers so obviously lot of bureaucracy and politics. - Average compensation compared to other companies at the same level like Nvidia, Teradata, VMWare - Totally useless director who is a local citizen of city who behaves like an owner of group. - Company has hired many hopeless architects who company trust to build something that they have never built in past. They are just referrals of directors who earn salary in lacs and do nothing. - Management shows double standard when hiring comes into picture. When regular employee refers someone, that referred candidate has to go through few interviews where if director hires (his relative) then he doesn't have to go through any interview even if he is completely like villager and knows nothing. Company has just created a separate redundant position for him. - Nobody respects Seagate in software market at least. I have seen with my former colleagues who left Seagate in past. - Company doesn't provide WFH facility. Whenever they provided due to Corona then my useless manager threatened my team that I or the director can ping randomly any time and you should answer immediately. Company is full of such managers and seniors. - I have seen in years that not many people willingly and happily wants to join Seagate. Whoever joins it, it is because he/she has not got job elsewhere. So company hires without background check like it has hired a known paedophile who was accused of molesting 22 girls.

Pros

A lot to learn, Work life balance

Cons

Managers are not the real players yet they are given more preference, No idea what they acquire and what they lay off, No job security, No value for employees, HR's exist just physically but no roles.
