Pros

You meet some nice people but unfortunately they don't stay around very long when they see what the company is like

Cons

Like the other reviewer said everything is saving money do not care about the employees at all most of the Supervisors and management are ignorant. The pay is really bad for the hours and that's even if you get paid for the hours you actually work, most times if you count you're hours there is money missing. No opportunity for pay raises or moving up in the company. Any hard work is never appreciated, the turn over of staff is unbelievable, the worst paid company in the airport by a long shot. very long hours, your hard work is not appreciated, the supervisors have no training in management skills and most are just plain rude.

Pros

- Colleagues are amazing hard-working people, plenty of banter to get through the day - You get to meet celebrities now and again - Uniform is nice when you eventually get it - Easy to get a day off when you need it through shift swaps - Gain good experience to add to your CV (eg. customer service, working under pressure, problem solving etc.)

Cons

- Blatant favouritism from management and supervisors to staff, it's one rule for some and different rule for others - Shifts are always changing - Some staff are made to be trained on many different airline check-in systems and does more work, whereas other staff are trained on only one or two systems and do barely any work on a daily basis - yet we are all paid the same wage - Staff get treated differently based on their age - Uniform not suitable for working outside in rain - Prone to getting sick often from direct contact with hundreds of passengers daily, and working outside in the cold, and then get called in for disclipinary meetings for being sick - Only 7 days sick pay per year - No staff benefits whatsoever, no perks, and no bonuses

Pros

The only thing what this company gave me that I met lots of nice and really hard working people. Apart from this I can't say any pros.

Cons

After two years with a company you are still gonna be part timer, no opportunity to get full time or any other position, so if you want full time hours you force to take overtime (if available). The company main policy is to cut cost as much as possible. They have planned to work with minimum staff, therefore you have to do two people's job and you are going to end up with plenty of annual leave to book which likely is going to be refused and without being carry over for the next year or being paid. Hard working and commitment to the company not appreciated at all. You are just a number on the paper.
