      Pros

      Great team that is very enjoyable to be around while getting a lot of work done. The company was growing quickly during my time and it was exciting to take on the new, unfolding challenges. Transparency and communication are valued at SS, which I really appreciated, and I always felt listened to. They also respect the input from their customers and proceed accordingly. The soups and smoothies are delicious and I miss eating them everyday very much!

      Pros

      You may learn a bit about running a start-up by observation.

      Cons

      They do not know what they are doing, make horrible choices, have really incapable managers/higher-ups, while the newer, lower-level people do all the good, dirty work. They are a "wellness" company, also, but do not care about the wellness of their junior employees, only the agendas of the scatter-brained senior-level employees.

As a first time CEO, I have learned a lot about team building in a short period of time, and I continue to learn more as we grow as an organization. One of my biggest priorities is working to implement new initiatives to keep our team happy and healthy, from yoga classes to regular one on one coffees with every staff member.       Collaborative, passionate team of people who genuinely believe in the product and company mission. Strong leadership team that really cares about culture and development.

      Can't stop eating the soups/smoothies.
