Pros
The upper management is very present in their hotels and will often travel to provide up-keep They pay and provide for First-Aid training upon request. There is always something to be done allowing you to not get bored during your shift. They do provide health benefits after 6months of working there. If you are from out of town they will provide you residence during the slower months to help get you on your feet. The employees were amazing to work with once you got to know them, we all hyped each other up like a family. My recommendation would be to work here if you are looking for a short term job.
Cons
The employee moral isn't great and more often than not I found employees in complaint about easy solutions that prior office manager, which has now been replaced, could had easily fixed with a conversation. More than three or four times I was promised something just to have it taken from me or withheld from me, once again due to the prior office manager which has now been replaced. There are so many kind and interesting people you will experience while working in a small town hotel but that also opens of the opportunity to deal with deranged individuals. Only apply if you have a patient personality and can handle possible conflict. Staff was always short handed, the turn-over rate was extremely high.
