    Pros

Great work culture, got great exposure to FMCG sector.

    Cons

Salary is good but not up to the mark.

    Advice to Management

Once upon a time HUL was a benchmark in pay scale but not any more. Promotions are almost impossible.

Current Employee - Assistant Manager in Mumbai

I have been working at Unilever full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Work life balance - Best place to work if you want WLB. No one can call you at odd hour or on holidays Unlimited learning - The more you want to learn, the more company will provide Salary package - Its at par to market average

    Cons

Not a very good payer (If I compare with similar MNCs) Annual increments are peanuts (They give them on Basic pay) so its 2k to 4k per month at Assistant manager level Forget about promotions (Until you are in good books of your boss or from one of IIT). Skills are not important :)

I have been working at Unilever full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

HR Policies - Annual Leaves, Compensation, Maternity/Paternity leaves - they spoil you. Good work, immense exposure if you're fortunate enough to get in a good role/team - same applies for work life balance.

    Cons

Very Bureaucratic, feels like a polished lala company. Your career progression lies less in learning but more in the hands of your Line Manager and if you cross them - God help you.

    Advice to Management

Leadership changes here are so often and so erratic - every new band of management is looking at stirring things up for the next 3-4 years at a more personal level than the greater good.

I have been working at Unilever full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    1. Learning hub: Lots of thing to learn and best thing is company gives you the opportunity . 2. Job Rotation: You can change your role after a stint of approx 2 yrs or more. 3. Work Life Balance. 4. Caring about employees especially about their health and safety

    Cons

    1. Managers company: They hire Business Leadership Trainees from top colleges and recruit them as managers. They get promotions after and time interval of 2-3 years. Whereas people joining as executives has to wait for an indefinite period of time to move ahead in their career. A number of people succumb to this expectation and end up as non performers.. 2. Yearly increment happens on basic which account to peanuts.

    Advice to Management

1.Please bridge this gap of BLTs and Rankers. If not fully but it can be close down to 1 or 2 levels.
