I worked at Verastar full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Met some good people during training.

    Cons

After nmw increase in April, my wage should have improved but hr argued I was on salary so pay varies. Don't have a day off, they can't sack you but they will sure as hell make you want to leave. Advertise for trainee managers, but have no interest in training/promoting internally. Rarely got full commissions on sales made. Data is hammered and customers getting poor services.

    Advice to Management

Owner of company was approachable but mid level management wasn't. No promotion or training opportunities.

I worked at Verastar full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Colleagues are the best thing but that has nothing to do with the company.

    Cons

They don’t care about progression, they will use it as an enticement tool to get you in the door but good luck actually trying to progress. It is the epitome of a dead end job, everyone goes to work miserable and cannot wait to leave. Seems to be one rule for management and another for “lowly advisors”. So ridiculously understaffed it’s hilarious, the amount of mental breakdowns that occur is positively shocking and the...

I have been working at Verastar full-time for more than a year

    Pros

competitive salary with a quarterly bonus

    Cons

they make you feel like a criminal if you take a sick day. Formal dress apart from one day a month. Too much attention on leads and surveys and not the actual customer service.

    Advice to Management

More rewards and praise for those who actually provide excellent customer service rather than make a mess of accounts but put through leads

I have been working at Verastar full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Only been in the company a couple of months but so far I have loved working here. My colleagues are so friendly and made me feel welcomed from the off set. Typical day is starting at 8:30 finishing at 5:30, fruit and coffee is included which is always a great benefit, my manager has given me support throughout my journey. My job includes calling businesses that already have our custom and offering them additional services,...

    Pros

    - - - - -

    Cons

Poor pay, low pay rises, no sick pay, no compassionate paid leave meaning another money-related worry when close family members pass away, tries to sell the working hours as flexible however, there is a school-like clocking in and out system and no way to claim hours back if you work over these set hours (which happens on a regular basis)!
