Working at ViaHero taught me... well, just about everything that I use in my professional toolkit today. It's a truly exceptional company run by truly exceptional people. While connecting the world through personalized travel might seem like a trite mission (especially in today's post-truth culture), it really couldn't be any more important—and the company truly, truly believes in it. The company itself is composed of really amazing people who really believe in growth—personal and professional.
Cons
It's always difficult working at an early-stage startup, and VH is no exception. Bootstrapping, scrapping, a lower-than-industry-average compensation package, and continual reinvention are exhausting—and you have to be ready for that life. It is worth it, though, and if I could go back and do it all again I 100% would.
