Pros

I think the main and only pro is Remote work, but there’s a lot of out of state client travel now being expected pretty regularly for some.

Cons

I’m not one to leave reviews like this, but this is coming from the heart and I’m doing this to help others mental health and well being. Do not work here unless you are desperate for a job. I don’t think they’re hiring given how many clients they have recently lost, but places like this are the reason why agencies get a bad rap. I’m talking about psychological toxicity not just overworked and underpaid (but there’s that, too). But, don’t take my word for it. Ask them for their latest Employee Net Promoter scores, the results from the past few surveys are very telling. •Unprofessional. They can’t keep top talent, nor can they afford it. •Toxic male exec leaders (not all, but most). Especially the “Executive of Client Services”. Be wary of the humble facade, when someone gossips heavily about their own loyal team members ya better believe it’s happening about you, too. How can you be an executive leader in a client facing role but have poor leadership and marketing skills? I’m talking about basic management 101: micromanaging, assuming the worst of people, manipulative, picking favorites, zero trust & power hungry. You should have put people in leadership not because of tenure but because they have the skills to grow strong teams. Without strong leaders you can’t bring or keep top talent, and without top talent, you can’t get high tiered clients. •The pay is very below market, especially for those who have been here prior to pandemic. •They aren’t being honest with employees. Which makes me question what else they aren’t being honest about. Don’t let the other reviews sway you, I question the authenticity.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences. We're sorry to hear that your time at the company wasn't a positive one. We take all feedback seriously and strive to improve the employee experience at all times. Regarding remote work, we're glad that it has been positive for you. We understand that client travel may not be ideal for everyone, but it is required for some positions. We aim to offer competitive compensation and benefits options that reflect industry standards and our own capabilities. All salary ranges are listed on job postings and available internally to all employees. eNPS surveys are conducted bi-annually and we are happy to share the latest results with anyone who inquires. While we are continuously working to improve our score, we're pleased to report that it has remained in the positive range with an 88% participation rate. WebMechanix is committed to creating a safe and inclusive work environment for all employees. If you're comfortable doing so, please feel free to reach out to me directly to discuss this matter further. I want to ensure that all parties involved are heard and properly investigated. Darn, we failed you :(. This experience is the opposite of our intentions. Hopefully, you learned something useful here and were well-positioned to move on. I am somewhat taken back, though. We haven't let anyone go in a long time. We tend to work with people, give them feedback, help them get better. If someone must be let go, it's never abrupt, instead, always with warning and severance. Similarly, we are very lenient to illness & family matters - we understand and always allow remote work during these scenarios. To hear your experience is surprising. Again, I'm sorry you felt that way. As you know, we have an "open door" culture here. We encourage feedback by asking for it regularly, through surveys and one on ones. The idea is that your unfavorable experience would be voiced in this forums, so we can adjust in the moment and make things better for you, right away. This has proven successful time and time again. I'm sorry it didn't work with you. I'd love the opportunity to apologize personally and get more feedback directly. Please reach out on your favorite channel. Best regards, Arsham

Not worth the hype

Pros

free coffee, snacks, comfortable space. Pretty much standard stuff found in many companies in "digital"/tech space.

Cons

- Some teams and individuals are favorited over others. - Low pay even for senior level positions. - Initial promises made during offer were broken due to company "changes". If you bring up those conversations, leadership becomes defensive. - Uninspired work & no room for growth unless you're a marketer working 24/7.
