“Problem Solving & Decision-Making Skills” Training Program at AST India There’s a proverb by Loyal Lewman which says “Never stop learning; for when we stop learning, we stop growing.” Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we couldn’t conduct classroom sessions for the Annual Training Programs, like last year but we believe that learning is an ongoing process & nothing should obstruct it. Welcome to our first online Training Program for the year 2020! We conducted 5 batches from 31 Aug 2020 for all the offshore employees. These two hours/day program were conducted by a well-qualified external trainer,which covered the following topics: Learn how to define a problem & the process of problem solving Learn the new paradigm of problem solving Learn two distinct approaches & explore some techniques of problem solving Become aware of the life centres that influence decision making Learn to apply proven approaches to overcome everyday problems These interactive & fun learning sessions not just accelerated employees’ learning but indeed made them crave for more of such programs!

Ganpati Festival Celebration at AST India! Ganesh Chaturthi, which is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi is a Hindu festival. It's an eleven days celebration of the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed god of wealth, good fortune & harmony. Every year devotees bring Ganesha into their house, temple or temporary shrine as a guest. The idol is worshiped with elaborate rituals for ten days & is immersed in water with full joy and hopes on the eleventh day. It's time again to thank the god of prosperity and wisdom for keeping us & our families always protected from obstacles. With the Covid-19 pandemic casting a shadow on the festival season, we decided to go online to ensure that devotees are not devoid of a glimpse of the lord. Even though we?re under house arrest & in a difficult phase, we definitely didn't want to miss this opportunity to celebrate one of India's major festivals with glory!Team India gathered virtually for a LIVE Ganpati Pooja rituals on 25th August. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm within the comfort & safety of their homes. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi !!
Happy Independence Day…India! 15th August…the day to celebrate freedom, the day to remember the valor of our freedom fighters…time to feel proud to be an Indian & rejoice the essence of Independent India! Team India proudly celebrated the 74th Independence Day on 15th August ‘20…but with a slight twist. Owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we decided to have a virtual celebration…Our very first one!! The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, where team participated with their families. We started with an Opening speech by Vidya Khedekar, followed by Animated Flag hoisting with national anthem being played simultaneously. This was followed by declaration of “Art & Craft” competition winners. “Art & Craft” was an online contest, to encourage employee engagement & inspire the employees to display their creativity. We got to see some cute virtual performances by few of our employees’ children. We concluded with “Employees’ Talk”, where people shared their views on “The importance of freedom”, especially in Lockdown. Everyone got dressed in white color to celebrate patriotism.

Quarterly Awards at Offshore Amidst much monotonous schedule & work routine in this period of lock down, we thought of conducting the Quarter II Awards remotely to spice up things and it was exciting as always! At AST India, we conduct the "Awards & Recognition" program on a quarterly basis. The purpose of these awards is to promote a high-performance work culture at AST. We reward few exceptional job contributions to encourage every individual, be it a seasoned or new member, for their support. Chess Tournament at Offshore- Lock down had brought down life to a standstill, but the game should still be ON! To keep the mind ticking and to bring out the best strategic prowess, we had organized an Online Chess Tournament for our Offshore Employees! It?s organized between 26th July ?20 & 2nd Aug ?20 and is receiving overwhelming participation from everyone. Tournament is played on Lichess, which is a free and open-source Internet chess server run by a non-profit organization of the same name. Organizers are Santosh Reddy, Shashank Jain, Saurabh Sarodaya, Suraj Patil & Radhika Bellure. Around 50 employees have participated in this tournament. Every participant played all rounds/ matches. The winner gets 1 point & loser 0 . In case of draw or stalemate, both players get 0.5 each. The Chess Championship Winner and Runner-up will be rewarded with gift hampers. It?s well supported with daily Online Quiz Competition related to this Chess Tournament. And of course, Quiz Winners were also rewarded with gift cards. Team is really enjoying this tournament & feeling connected !
Mid-Year Performance Reviews We all know that Mid-Year Review is an excellent opportunity to review goals and accomplishments & to ensure that everything is on track. It?s an important part of the overall employee performance management process. We launched the Mid-Year Performance Reviews for the first time, in June 2020 & it was a truly interactive session, with around 300 employees participating. We communicated and planned for any changes in the company, team, roles or objectives that will affect the second half of the year. We hope that employees found it involving & effective!
