Our new batch of first-time managers are all set to take on the world! Over the last three months, we set out on a journey to empower 30 talented Cactizens with the skills, knowledge, and abilities they need to thrive as new managers. Leading teams in a remote organization require a manager to be able to build trust, foster collaboration, and help folks reach their highest potential. These Cactizens went through over 15 sessions on leading teams effectively in a virtual setup, giving constructive feedback, managing stakeholders, and driving performance, to name a few. Here’s wishing our new managers the very best as they step into newer, bigger shoes! Our mind is a tricky thing, and many a time plays quite a few games on us. "You're not good enough", "That win was a fluke!", or "You don't deserve this praise" - it tells us. We had Trina Banerjee, a Clinical and neuropsychologist, take Cactizens through this phenomenon of imposter syndrome that plagues many of us, hampering our growth and performance. In this one-hour session, folks did multiple introspective activities and learned tools to conquer their feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy. Every fortnight, we TGIDF - We Thank God It's Demo Friday! 👩💻 Our tech teams virtually come together every other Friday to show the others, the features they're working on. Our developers and product managers across products and teams, give a quick demo and take questions on their latest build. "Demo Fridays help us find avenues to collaborate with different teams, know the cool stuff our colleagues work on, showcase the work we're proud of and eventually we end up building better features," says Kunal Sawhney, our Engineering Manager whose brainchild this initiative is.
