In this edition of #SystiqueStories we will be giving a brief introduction of our beginnings. Hughes, our parent organization, has been a pioneer in the Satcom industry and connecting the world for the last 52 years. Hughes started its India operations in the early 1990s and since then have also pioneered many industry defining moments be it inventing the satellite Internet more than 25 years ago or creating the two-way Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) to being first multinational company in India to issue IPO by book build process or adopting newer corporate structure & growth path by ditching the traditional “Bell curve” theory. At Hughes Systique, we are fortunate to have inherited the rich work culture and legacy of innovation & excellence from Hughes. Together with Hughes, we will continue to bridge the barriers and scale newer heights.

On a bright sunny day of May 11, the “Changemakers” from Hughes Systique Corporation's Parivartan were joined and guided by the experts from Give Me Trees Trust, for a plantation drive at Sohna Road, Gurugram. The team was briefed about the importance of planting trees that are native to the region and how each tree planted will be useful to the soil and environment for the future. The enthusiastic team of HSCians, ignored the blistering heat and hot temperatures as the sun was at its peak and went to plant each and every corner of the area carefully and made sure to leave their mark.
Team Hughes Systique Corporation (HSC) participated in DefSAT Conference & Expo 2023, held at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantonment. DefSat 2023 is India's first International Defence and Space conference & expo which was organized by Satcom Industry Association - India . HSC was represented by Mr. Prabhat Kumar Sahoo, Center Head – Bhubaneswar, Mr. Vipin Jain, AVP – Engineering and Mr. Sanjoy Sarkar, Director – Sales & Marketing, Hughes Systique. This conference also involved putting up thinktanks on how new India space policy can be used for Defence forces with support from Industry, with goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Mr. Sahoo participated in the Industrial Space Wargame - A simulated, scenario-based, interactive tabletop exercise that tests the capability of the space industry to respond to contingency or crisis situations, along with other esteemed participants.
Mr. Deepak Sehrawat, System Design Engineer, Hughes Systique Corporation, was invited to attend a panel discussion about “The Evolution from Manufacturing to SmartFacturing” at CII’s IoT Summit 2023 in ITC Maurya, New Delhi. The participants for the panel discussion represented organisations from various sectors of manufacturing like ACC Ltd., Aditya Birla Group, India Glycols Ltd. and technological enablers like Deloitte India and Progressive Infotech. The panel discussion was aimed at answering the challenges that manufacturing sector through IoT and create a seamless production environment. Mr. Sehrawat expressed his views on the barriers and challenges to smart manufacturing and digital transformation for SME (Small and Medium Establishments) manufactures along with the steps the SMEs can take to “sail-through this tide of the next Industrial revolution; also known as Industry 4.0 or Smart Manufacturing”.
Mr. Tarun Singhal, Vice President – Engineering, Hughes Systique, was invited to participate as a panelist to discuss the topic of "Bridging Academia and Industry", at the three-day seminar on Innovation in Higher Education through PPP (Public Private Partnerships) Model, organised by the Cluster Innovation Centre of University of Delhi at the CIC Centre, Delhi. Mr. Singhal highlighted the work that HSC is doing in collaboration with various Engineering colleges across the country, on putting together co-branded courses & engaging with the engineers early on to make them industry ready after they graduate from their institutes. He also, briefed the panel about the collaborative work that HSC is doing with IITs & BITs on Research areas in 5G.
Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, Hughes Systique Corporation (HSC), represented the proud team of HSC at the launch of ISRO’s GSLV Mark 3, which launched 36 OneWeb satellites in orbit from Sriharikota. Teams across Hughes Systique, feel proud to have contributed towards this major milestone for India and the humankind. Indeed a proud moment for OneWeb, Hughes and HSC.
Mr Vinod Sood, MD, Hughes Systique, attended the 28th edition of The CII Partnership Summit and the 4th edition of CII's DX Summit, as a panellist on March 15, 2023. He was joined by industry veterans and dignitaries from the government. Highlighting the importance of technology in the emerging Indian sector and in relevance to the G20 Summit in India, Mr. Sood shared his insights and forecast for the same.
HSC celebrated the festival of colours and spring, Holi, with some gujiya, festive music and lots of colours and fun! HSC teams from Gurugram and Bengaluru celebrated the festival with much gusto albeit keeping in consideration the environment friendly practices and used flower petals and organic colours to celebrate the festival in style.
