Mr Pradman Kaul, President & CEO, Hughes Network Systems, Mr Vinod Sood, MD, Hughes Systique and Mr Partho Banerjee, President & MD, Hughes Communications India last week met Mr Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Honourable Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology & Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. During the meeting, they updated the honourable minister about the contribution that Hughes companies in India are making towards realising the vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat‘ & ‘Make in India’ working closely with ISRO, BEL and DRDO labs on projects of national importance and how technologies developed by Hughes group of companies have been instrumental in bridging the digital divide and connecting the remotest parts of the country where traditional wireline and wireless networks are not available.
Mr Pradman Kaul, President, Hughes Network Systems, visited India last week to meet the Hughes teams in India. It was an opportune occasion for Hughes India, Hughes Systique and Hughes Communication to host a dinner together, in Mr. Kaul’s honour and have an enriching time with him. By the end of this year, Mr Kaul shall transition into the role of Vice Chairman of EchoStar from his active role as President & CEO of Hughes Network Systems. He will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of EchoStar. On behalf of the Hughes Systique family, we would like to congratulate Mr Pradman Kaul, on his glorious career and contributing immensely to the Satellite Communications industry. Under his leadership and guidance Hughes companies in India pioneered a number of initiatives for the first time in the country, some of which were adopted and replicated by others in the industry. We look forward to his guidance and wish him a very healthy and fulfilling future.

Congratulations to Ms Harpreet Kaur, Chief Engineer, for her article titled, “Edge Computing & How it's Evolving", made it to the main page as a spotlighted article on DZone. To quote Ms Kaur on what HSC has been doing in the Edge Computing segment, “Last few years, the industry has seen sharp rise in the synergies around Edge computing and we expect the opportunities around this technology to expand further. Immersive experiences, AR/VR, 5G and many other emerging applications rely a lot on edge computing principles. We, at Hughes Systique, have also seen a lot of traction from our customers around design and development of edge applications and their supporting physical infrastructures. Hughes Systique has been helping their customers design and implement edge infrastructures based on open-source edge computing frameworks/stacks. Hughes Systique implements end to end orchestration capabilities for their customers, automating the deployments and configuration of the edge applications. We have also been helping our customers migrate their legacy applications to an edge-ready state.”

At Hughes Systique Corporation (HSC), we have always strived for excellence, while at the same time working towards a sustainable and brighter future. This can only be achieved if we are joined by all the sections of our society and especially our youth. We would like to thank our NGO partner, NIIT Foundation to join us in this journey and for letting us host 23 of their bright and ambitious students & teachers at our Gurugram campus. We had invited them for mock interview sessions and an informative session on interview etiquette, as the students would soon join the employable workforce and will be participating in recruitment drives. The exercise was aimed at providing these young students with an experience of how an interview feels like in a formal and professional environment. Our volunteers, from different verticals, departments and mediums – in person & virtual, interviewed the students and provided them with valuable feedback. After lunch, the students were also given a tour of the campus during which the excited lot clicked numerous selfies!
Over the years some of our HSC family members left to join other companies, however it is heartening to see them come back to the HSC family.
