Human Rights Campaign President Alphonso David was on the latest episode of #NeverStandStill. As a member of the Black and LGBTQ communities, Alphonso is challenging all of us to think about identity in a more intersectional way than we have historically. Both identities shape who he is at work and in his personal life, and his efforts at the HRC advocate for society and institutions to see people’s whole selves as valuable. Conversations like these continue to inform our efforts at PayPal to ensure employees can not only bring their full identities to work, but also be celebrated and respected for those identities. Many thanks to Alphonso for the important and candid discussion. You can watch their full conversation here.

Dan Schulman's #NeverStandStill conversation with Trilogy Films Founder and Filmmaker Dawn Porter, where they discussed her recent Magnolia Pictures documentary, ?John Lewis: Good Trouble.? It?s perfectly timed for the moment we?re in today, and a powerful reminder of Lewis? legacy. In the film, Dawn made the creative decision to capture late Rep. Lewis watching footage of himself as a young civil rights activist?a part of the film that I found particularly moving. When I asked Dawn to share her rationale behind that decision she said, ?I wanted him to see what we see.? I loved getting to hear about Dawn?s craft and the care with which she tells other people?s stories.
