I applied in-person. I interviewed at ALDI (Stony Point, NY) in Jul 2018
Interview
There was a heavily promoted “Hiring Event” for a new store opening close by. I polished my resume, researched the Company and showed up in a full business suit. A young man simply took a copy of my application and said he’d review it and call if there was interest. What is the point of having a “hiring event” if no one is actually going to speak to you?? Couldn’t I simply have submitted my resume on line??

They want you to stand in front of a mirror so that they can evaluate you before the interview. Then you are asked a series of questions about what you think the position is by the district manager. Afterwards a store manager takes you around the store and is especially interested in your reaction to being in the freezer.
