I applied for the PADA (Platform and Application Development Associate) role at Accenture on 17 April 2024. Here’s a detailed overview of the hiring process:
Timeline and Process:
Application:
I applied on 17 April 2024. On 21 April, I received a confirmation email stating that I met the eligibility criteria and would receive further communication.
Cognitive & Technical Assessment:
After a three-month wait, on 6 August 2024, I was asked to select a slot for the assessment scheduled for 9 August 2024.
The assessment included six sections: Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Networking and Cloud, MS Office, and Pseudo Code.
Upon successfully completing these sections, I immediately proceeded to a Coding Assessment with two problems ranging from easy to medium difficulty.
Communication Assessment:
On 14 August 2024, I was invited to take the Communication Assessment. This round was relatively straightforward and assessed basic communication skills.
Interview:
On 26 August 2024, I received an email to select an interview slot, and my interview was conducted on 28 August 2024.
The interview lasted approximately 20 minutes, and the interviewer asked me:
To introduce myself.
What I knew about Accenture.
Questions about my project, including challenges faced during development.
My favorite and least favorite subjects.
A time when I faced failure and how I dealt with it.
The session concluded with an opportunity for me to ask the interviewer questions.
Overall Experience:
The process was well-structured, and the communication from Accenture was clear, though there was a significant waiting period between the application and assessments. The assessments were fair and tested a range of skills relevant to the role. The interview felt conversational and focused on both technical and behavioral aspects.
Tips for Future Candidates:
Prepare thoroughly for aptitude and technical assessments, especially pseudo-code and coding.
Try to pass all the test cases for both coding problems. This boosts your chances of selection.
Prepare for behavioral and situational questions, as they form a key part of the interview.
Brush up on communication skills for the assessment.
Be ready to discuss your resume, projects, and personal experiences during the interview.
