I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
1 screening interview, online test, 4 interviews on same day divided into two rounds: Round 1 of two interviews of 30 minutes each upon clearing which you qualify for Round 2 of two 45 minute interviews.
I was approached by a recruiter months before. Applied online, did the test and got a call for a screening interview nearly 4 months after. Passed the screening interview a week after which I was set up for a day long interview virtually online - 4 managers from different areas of the business.
Interviews went fine I thought, one really good and the other average. Questions were pretty straightforward, checked glassdoor in advance and it captured several. Was really surprised however when got turned down for Round 2 despite what seemed like positive feedback during the interview.
The worst part of it is a robot from HR called, gave the news in two short sentences and offered no feedback as Amaon's policy is to provide no feedback whatsoever to candidates. Sour grapes perhaps, but interviewed many times before and never been treated as bad as this.
Why they approached and invited in the first place 4 months after screening God knows. Waste of a holiday and missed a weekend class.
Definitely cancelling that Amazon Prime membership now :)

Interviews are based on Amazon Leadership principles. Interview process went very smoothly with mostly focusing on my previous experience. They expect the answers in STAR format. Also, some other behavioral questions are also asked. Since I joined as an intern there were only two rounds of interviews.
