Interview
No interview. Amazon stresses that fact from the gate. An assessment completed online along with other basic info, then you wait to hear back or not. My assessment done on a Friday, received response the next Wednesday to schedule a hiring event. Hiring event following week. Completed oral swab drug test at hiring event. Amazon culture and job explained, watched a video while all of us hopeful candidates sat there with oral swabs in our mouths. Yes, we did our own drug test. Amazon says it is a frugal company. I guess that's right!
After drug test completed, we marked down our top two shift choices. Next step is contingent upon test and background check results. If you pass, you will receive an email asking you to schedule an online 3 hour orientation course/video. Only after you do this will you get a start date.

No interview. Fill out an application, and at the end, select your start date. Show up to orientation. Be willing to work the shift you selected because they will not let you pick a different shift once you have selected one. You might not get any other opportunities other than what is available.
I was hired in 2018 there was no interview just a series of short tests online and then went in person for a drug test and onboarding. No interview. The drug test was a mouth swab but half the groups got urine tested
They asked about my availability, whether I was able to lift weights up to the required limit, and if I was comfortable with the work location. Can you do it safely.
