I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2018
Interview
It was a hiring event, like a lecture, where they tell you, and the rest of the group of people there, all you need to know before your first day. At the event they will do a drug test, a background check, and take your picture for your badge. There are also many online classes you'll have to take to prepare for the hiring event. You will get paid for the online classes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked a few questions, kind of like a quiz, to make sure you paid attention to the online classes.
No interview. Fill out an application, and at the end, select your start date. Show up to orientation. Be willing to work the shift you selected because they will not let you pick a different shift once you have selected one. You might not get any other opportunities other than what is available.
I was hired in 2018 there was no interview just a series of short tests online and then went in person for a drug test and onboarding. No interview. The drug test was a mouth swab but half the groups got urine tested
They asked about my availability, whether I was able to lift weights up to the required limit, and if I was comfortable with the work location. Can you do it safely.
