The application for this job posting was accepted in English only, and all the e-mails for the phone interview were sent to me in English. That's why I prepared myself for the interview also in English. But the talk started in German and the the person on the phone also told that the tasks would be in German. I was still able to go through but it was a big turn-off for my motivation, which in the end affected my performance. It was a waste of time for me, both the preparation and the interview itself, as it wasn't a German position that I wanted and thought I applied for.

I applied for a hiring day at Amazon. Before you get invited to the hiring day, you must complete a phone interview which lasts about 30-40 min. The first 5 minutes we had small talk where the interviewee introduced himself and told a little about his own experience at Amazon before going to the interview. My interview started with questions about my CV and relevant experience to the position. Afterwards I was asked behavioral based questions like tell me a time when... here you should use the STAR technique to. At the hiring day you get 3 one on one interviews, a small business case, and a short excel test. The one on one interviews are all about your previous behaviors in certain situations. Here they test if you comply with the amazon leadership principles and how you handle various situations, again STAR technique required. Excel test was super easy and was about applying some basic formulas/ tools like: filter, average, weighted average, pivot table. Business case is about a seller on amazon. You get two tables with different products and numbers and bellow you have some statements where you have to select all the statements which are true
