      First round(1 hour): Technical screen on Notepad, 5 SQL questions and 1 Python Second round(5 hours): Virtual onsite with 5 interviewers, each one asking questions for 45 min There was NO online assessment for me.

      Question 1

      First round: Technical screen on Notepad with Orders, Sales and Customers schema. You have to write the SQL query in a Notepad, cannot execute the query(No DB connection). So, prepare well with syntax. Open ended language, you can use Oracle or Mysql or MSsql which you are comfortable at. SQL Questions involved simple like filtering on a WHERE clause, GROUP BY, HAVING, CASE , Get Year and Month from Date, SUM, calculate % Python : generate first N numbers in Fibonacci series Second round: Virtual onsite with 5 interviewers, each one asking questions for 45 min LP- Leadership Principles based question Hiring Manager: 1) When you commit to a deadline in Project and you cannot finish, how do you communicate to customers? LP 2) What was the reason that attributed to miss the deadline?(follow up of question#1) LP 3) What is the solution or fix that it won’t happen again? (follow up of question#1) LP 4) Any example of what you did even before your customers asked for it? LP 5) Do customers in your project want email notification or visual Dashboards and how do you justify? (follow up of question#4) LP BI Engineer: 1) Give me an example when you took a decision without consulting your manager or Approval? LP 2) How do you justify that you have to skip Manger approval? (follow up of question#1) LP 3) What is the risk involved and what could be the impact if you had to wait till Manger Approval? (follow up of question#1) LP 4) Were customers happy with your decision? (follow up of question#1) LP Below questions are based on your data analysis, Descriptive Analytics and dashboard skills 5) Given a product sale information on Amazon shopping website, what would be your approach to decide which product to price cut to improve the sales? 6) How do you measure your success, like which product price cuts did better on quantity of sales, profit? (follow up of question#5) 7) How do you design your dashboards to show/measure your success? (follow up of question#6) Business Intelligence Analyst: (Strange NO LP questions) How do you design a data model for Lyft ride App? What would be the Dimension and Fact tables? What would be the Primary keys, Attributes and Indexes created on these tables? Couple of SQL queries involving filtering on Date range and using Rank function to get Top N drivers with high number of rides on a given day? Bar Raiser: (all are LP ques) 1) When you commit to a deadline in Project and you cannot finish, how you communicate to customers? 2) Several follow up of question#1 why it happened, what was the risk and impact and what you can do to avoid this in future? Below question was another flavor asked before by another interviewer 3) Give me an example when you were the outlier when the whole team was taking one decision(BB, Disagree and commit)? 4) Several follow up of question#3? 5) Give me an example when you suggested a solution to customer and had a great success? 6) What is the proud moment of your career when you not only met the goal but exceeded? Data Scientist: 1) Give me an example when you worked on something which is NOT your regular part of job or went beyond your responsibility and had a great success? 2) Several follow up of question#1 like what exactly you did and how it impacted the customers, How you tested your work and measure your success? 3) Questions on Predictive Analytics and Prescriptive Analytics? 4) You launch a NEW product in a New region and how you predict it will grow/fail ? 5) If your product is not growing, how will find what are the factors impacting it? 6) How will you compare it against the similar products? There was NO online assessment for this role.
