Interview
The interview process was good and I had in total 8 rounds of interview including Hacker rank test. All my technical discussions like Problem Solving, System Design, LLD, HLD went well. The HR team told that there will be a final Director round for 30 mins to check for fitment & aspirations, This was also told by interviewer who took Director round after hiring manager round. But after Director round , they did a debrief and rejected me. This kind of behaviour is not expected, as this is giving false hopes to candidate of selection. Also it wastes the time of candidate, as Director round was not required if the feedback of other interviews was not good.
Is Director rejecting candidate on the basis of Fitment or is the candidate rejected on the basis of technical, if on technical grounds then why did Director spending his time with candidate and keeping a fitment round? I seriously didn't understand that candidate is able to bluff the entire technical team of 8 rounds but the director is so great that he rejects on the basis of Fitment overtaking technical expertise or the technical team is so weak that they couldn't eliminate candidate in 7 rounds?
No idea what sort of candidate they are looking for.
