      Application

I interviewed at Arup (New York, NY)

      Interview

Applied online. The advertised salary range seemed pretty low considering the years of experience they were asking for, though that may just reflect the current market and what companies can get away with right now. I was contacted about three weeks later. The first interview was a standard recruiter screen. Second was a panel interview. I’ve always viewed Arup as a very professional firm, so I was a bit surprised by how casually two of the interviewers were dressed — more “weekend workout” casual than professional. The interviews felt heavily scripted, and they didn’t seem especially prepared to answer questions about the role or team. Received a rejection a week or two later.
