Initial phone interview by recruiter, followed by interview with several managers, two grades above the post offered.
Usual CV review, examples of client engagements, successes, challenges. Focussed technical questions on specialist process.
Provided answers in STAR format - Situation, Task, Action, Result - which has worked successfully in previous interviews.
Interviewers did not seem especially impressed with some major successes in very challenging circumstances in recent career. Instead were focussed on determining if I could recite minutiae from subject -area process methodology. I did all bar one, which registered some disappointment. In real life, when you need such info, you look up the reference book.
First interviewer (more senior) was less than candid about some challenges within company which I was aware of from current employees, and overall mostly generic information provided in response to my questions. Did not inspire me with confidence.

Post interview, waited for some time for outcome - in the end I had to ring them. Negative. Feedback zero, but promised to provide. Chased for feedback two weeks later, "not in system - when it's there we'll tell you." Still waiting.
Surprised not to be taken forward, as this was for my core competency, where I have multiple repeated successes, along with A1 references to support, and no exaggeration or padding in my claims, as some candidates may have.
