      Analyst - Credit Risk Interview

      15 Nov 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Bank of America (London, England) in Oct 2014

      Interview

Application, numerical test, telephone interview then AC. At AC: case study, presentation, numerical test, a group exercise and 2 interviews. Interviews were fairly easy (why do you want to join BAML, tell me about yourself and your greatest achievement and competency Qs). Case study was most difficult part.

      Credit Risk Analyst Interview

      26 Oct 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Newcastle upon Tyne, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bank of America (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Oct 2015

      Interview

I did an online application (basic info, some competency questions), invited immediately to an online test (basic maths). I then had a phone interview with a VP from the Credit Risk division - fairly friendly and asked some straightforward competency questions, following on from my CV and application answers. Moved on to some slightly more technical questions. I've been invited to an Assessment Centre.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What are some of the difficulties that banks face today? What are some of the risks for high street retailers? How do you differentiate between Corporate Institution Risk & Financial Institution Risk? What happens to investment if interest rates are low?

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2015

      Interview

The interview process was very simple. First was a phone interview with a Director. The interview was very straight forward with few technical questions. The final interview was with 3 different teams within Global Banking and Markets Credit Risk. Each team asked me several technical questions which were not that hard.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bank of America

      Interview

Had five interviews with nine people in their San Francisco office. Basic interview questions such as my strengths, and weaknesses, and discussing my resume with them. Some interviewers were more relaxed while some grilled me with series of financial questions. Most technical questions were opinion based, the importance was placed on my thought process in backing up my answers.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Had to explain how Capital Expenditures would be affected if a company had no net income.
