      Designer Interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Blizzard Entertainment

      Interview

The recruiter called me in the morning without notice. I was not able to answer the phone call. I quickly informed him through email and asked him if we can reschedule. He said yes, and we agreed on a date and time. He did not call me at the scheduled time. I sent him a few emails and even left him a voicemail, but I never heard back from him. It is extremely unprofessional to schedule an interview/meeting and not show up.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Blizzard Entertainment (Irvine, CA) in Apr 2022

      Interview

I’ve interviewed twice for 2 different roles in the last two years, and each time the whole process was a nightmare. The first time the recruiter contacted me and I told her my availability, she never got back to me. I found out a week later through the portal that my application was denied LOL. The second time, I went through a week long test, only to be told they’d be hiring internally. Very demonstrative of what kind of work culture and people they have. I’ve discovered the only way in is if you know someone high up who will recommend you.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Blizzard Entertainment in Jun 2020

      Interview

Applied for the role back in May, got an email in June to set up the first call. After the first call a week later, we set up a 1:1 via cam. A week later we set up another interview, two 1:1 back to back. Had some problems connecting to their software for the interview saying the meeting hasn't started when it was time for it, made me late and the first interviewer did not seem happy about that. The second one had problems too. (Please make sure your software/time/dates are set up correctly in the future). Then after that, a week goes by and nothing, I send a follow-up and the recruiter said I should get an update in a few days. Day pass, nothing, I send a follow-up, nothing. So I go and Jobvite (since that's where most of the emailing back and forth took place) to check if I got any messages and I see that under status it says "not selected". So that was a wonderful way of finding out I did not get the job after putting a month+ into the interview process. Not even a thank you call or email to let me know they picked someone else. If I never checked Jobvite I would of still be sitting here clueless about what is going on.
