Box Capacity Manager interview questions

Applied through linked in. After a month, got a call from recruiter.Moved in to HM round which went well. Moved in to another panel round with bunch of people grilling half of the day. But, everything did go very well. Followed up with recruiter next week and he said he has good and bad news. Good news is the panel did like me and got very good feedback. The bad news is the leadership decided to merge this role with another manager they hired. Well, its good for box that they realized the role can be done by one person's salary instead of two but what kind of leadership would waste theirs and the candidates time for so long being engaged in the interview process and realize the other way. I am glad they did it before the offer,else it would have been very challenging for me to find another job if I was hired. Leadership and recruitment team should apply some strategy before posting the job to public as it involves lot of preparedness and time from the candidates. In summary, I am not sure about whether its a great company to work for but I am so happy I am not going to join as it would definitely have created a stability issue for me.
