      Interview

The interview process was very smooth. First phone screen with the recruiter, then with hiring manager and then with several people including a Director at the end. The process took about 2 weeks. And the result was announced quickly. I did not expected that it would go this fast.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capital One

      Interview

The process was pretty smooth for me at that time. Their recruiter found interest on my experience and had quick call and finished first phone screening. Then online assessment was scheduled for me based on my preference. Once it’s passed, in 2 days, the recruiter will follow up and start to set up a Power-Day which is a 4hours session and every hour, there is a round of interviews. 4 rounds in a row. One round is for coding, one round is for design applications, the third is behavioral questions and lastly it’s a case study. It’s very challenging to finish all in 4 hours. But once you’re done, you will be given their decision within 48 hours. After all, recruiter will follow up closely for you to forward your resume to hiring teams for team matches if the power day has positive results. Bamp~ finally you will be allocated into a team if there is a match. The team matches sessions are not interviews officially but it’s practically interviews actually. The process are pretty quick.

      Interview

I was asked to complete an online proctored coding exam for which I disagreed with the terms of service. I explained to the recruiter that I cannot accept the terms of service for the platform they issue their exam through. Without even a response from the recruiter, I was notified that I withdrew my application.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One

      Interview

The whole interview process was done remotely for this role. It went through three phases: Initial phone screen: General overview of the role and quick check of qualifications to see if the role still matched up with what I was looking for. Coding challenge: This was the next step after the phone screen. It was through CodeSignal, 4 problems in 75 minutes. I did a lot of practice on LeetCode for practice, but CodeSignal felt a lot more unique in the wording and nuances for its problems, it's worth it to check this site out a bit. I got 3 of the 4 problems, ran out of time, continued to the next round of interviews. Power Day Interviews: This involved 4 rounds of interviews, each 1 hour long, with a 15 minute break after the first 2. Coding, code analysis, system design, and behavioral questions are all covered.
