      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Plano, TX) in Sept 2016

      Interview

The first part of the application process is a online assessment (math, verbal, reading skills, interpersonal behavior). If you pass the test then you get to move on to the second stage of the interview process, if not then you have to wait for 6 months before you can apply at Capital One. The second stage consist of a on-site panel interview (1 Case interview, 2 Behavioral Interviews, 2 Job Fit interviews). This will take a total of four and half to five hours to complete, pretty much taking up half the day. The overall interview process was not difficult, just be creative and prepared to answer random questions relating to your previous work experience and what skills you have to contribute to the company. However, after interviewing I was not contacted by the recruiter for over 2 weeks, I had to reach out. Even though the majority of the managers/directors I interviewed with seemed very professional, there was one in particular that was not so professional. I was surprised to encounter this since Capital One gives off the perception that they are a top-tier company and also because of the rigorous interview process.

      Interview

First off, the recruiters are top notch. They will prepare and update you on every step of the process. Before you pass the next step to interview, you must take an aptitude test that measures comprehension and mathematical ability. This isn't to hard, but time consuming. The onsite interview comprises of a multi level interviews with Directors, Managers, etc. These consists of behavioral questions followed up with case reviews within the scope of the job you are interviewing for. This process takes an additional 3-4 hours. .

      Question 1

Basic behavioral questions, which the recruiter will provide prior to interview. They do, however place a majority of weight on your answers based on a scorecard. So, you might be the most qualified candidate, but someone with less experience could score higher and ultimately get the job.
