      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One in Nov 2020

      Interview

The interview process consisted of two steps. The first was an initial case interview which was fully remote. They asked about credit card interest rates and default rates of customers, and the math was algebraic in nature. I did have to draw out risk/profitability graphs and find the break-even points, so be ready for some visual analysis as well as technical analysis. The second round was the "super day". Again, it was completely remote and it consisted of 3 back to back interviews, each lasting an hour long or so. The entire process for the final round lasted about 4-5 hours in total. There was another case interview (similar to the first) and a behavioral interview, where they asked about various ways you work in teams, your work preferences, and various scenarios about your past work experiences, etc. Finally, there was a "FRP Fit" interview. This consisted of specific questions about how you would fit in to this program and what kinds of things you take interest in. Overall, the experience was great, and it didn't take so long like some of these reviews did. The entire process from start to finish may have been a month to a month and a half in total. The offer is very very high, considering someone coming straight out of college.

      Easy interview

      Application

      Interview

First round case interview. Very simple consulting-like question based on credit worthiness. Began with qualitative element and moved into quantitative, where you were expected to provide a recommendation based on the evidence. Follow up interviews consist of multiple similar simple case interviews, and one behavioral one. Took about 45 minutes, and the interviewer made sure to guide you at points if you got stuck. Overall, not too complex and the interviewer was very easy to work with.
