      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2016

      Interview

Initial coding challenge - they use Hacker Rank style questions so you can practice on the site. I used Python and all the questions were specifically statistical questions (e.g. program a binomial distribution scenario). You can easily look up on statistical information like I did as I didn't remember much from my studies. Then I had a phone call with HR - very standard questions about yourself. Next was a non-technical business case over the phone with hiring manager for about 30 minutes. The toll gate question was what I was asked (you can find about it more in depth in another interview review previously as I can't recall the questions). Not too difficult. Next I was invited into a back-to-back in-person interviews. First one was about an hour with an HR member that doesn't look at your resume beforehand so it might be best to be prepared to explain things in laymen terms. After immediately was another interview with another senior analyst/ manager from another team doing another non-technical business challenge (this time it was the Xirius scenario -- this is also mentioned in another interview review!) that was very similar. I didn't get called for another interview but I assumed you would've had one more interview with the hiring manager if you made it this far. Overall the experience was neutral as the initial phone calls were pleasant however the in-person interviews were not enjoyable as the interviewers seemed very condescending. Even after 6 months the job was still open - I am not sure if they are actually hiring or looking for a very "specific" person. Also good tip: for the business case, one of the last questions usually involve you working backwards (e.g. you might have an equation like 500 = 400x + (2.31*2 + 313) --> solve for "x"). I was an idiot and blanked out for one of these questions despite how obvious it was.

      Interview

I had an interview with the hiring manager, and she started to ask about my CV and went through the details of each project, and also asked additional questions about each project, what would happen if we do this or that

      Interview

Two technical rounds with case studies and coding + SQL. Coding was just LC easy level and SQL was a bit more challenging but being comfortable with all the key words should be good enough.
