I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Plano, TX) in Jan 2014
Interview
- applied online and rec'd call from recruiter
- 1 week later, completed phone screening with hiring manager
-2 weeks later had 4 separate 1 hour interviews with three members of the team and 1 from a separate org. (2 job fit, 1 case study, and 1 behavioral).
-next steps are approx 2 weeks for decision.
Each interviewer asked 5-7 questions during the hour. The remaining time was spent discussing the company/culture and I was given opportunity to discuss/ask questions of the position.
Case study:
Began with generic business logic discussion.
Math involved profit/breakeven formulas using values in the millions and fractions of percentages. A basic function calculator was provided, along with paper and pencil.
Ended with determining which of two options is the eat investment for the company.
Multi-part interview. Big parts are two case interviews, a job fit interview, and a behavioral interview. There is also an initial screening with the recruiter and hiring manager. The case interviews are pass/fail so study for those.
