I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in May 2021
Interview
The Interview process was well explained by the recruiter. The first call was a screen with the recruiter, followed by a 45-min Case Interview with a Business Manager and a Power Day with 2 Business Case interviews and One Product Interview. The recruiter was very helpful with the preparation for the rounds, especially for the Power Day.
I got my result on the same day as the Power Day. After the interview, I felt that the interview had gone well and the interviewers were happy with my answers. I did not get the offer though.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Case studies were concentrated around strong quantitative analysis. Breakeven analysis, profitability and weighted averages.
The product round had 2 sections, the first section included improvising a day to day object. The second section was about a digital service of my choice, and the modifications or improvisations to the current design.
Recruiter Call, Mini Case and then a power day with 2 case studies and 1 product case study. Process was overall smooth. Appropriate documents and resources were provided to prep for the interview.
The interview was based on 3 phases. First was screening on call then a video interview with mini case then a power day with 3 phases including product interview, case based and economics based.
First, Screening call: the HR simply walked you thru the interview process and schedule the next round of interview - mini-case. I haven't done the mini case yet. Mini case, just search online for potential cases and prepare for it.
