      Risk Management Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Apr 2023

      Interview

This is a very oddly managed organization, don’t ignore the signs and follow your instincts/gut. I interviewed through “power day “ ( full-day of interviews with 4 staff members, that is very repetitive in questions, sign #1 )then was told two weeks later that I would need to be interviewed again for the same position as they would be offering the position to another candidate, but would be adding another position on the same team (ploy used to keep you around if a candidate has held-out, sign 2), but this time they explained I would not need a power day, just a “meet and greet” with another team member ( sign 3 and waste of another 45 minutes), after another two weeks was told in a spliced email (sign 4 different font sizes throughout email and very poorly written by a recruiter) that the position would not be offered to anyone. Really disappointed that I allowed myself to go through this process. 8 interviews in total, I highly encourage you to research this organization’s reputation carefully or at least evaluate and be aware of their hiring process before entering the gauntlet!

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2013

      Interview

the process is very long and tedious. first the HR will call you and ask some behavior questions. then they ask you to compete two online exams that similar to GMAT exams. then there is two rounds of in person interview. the first one consists of two parts, behavior questions then quantitative questions. after this there is a job fit interview where you meet the actual hiring manager.

      Question 1

behavior questions are not easy to answer. you really need to prepare for them and even then, they are still challenging. need a lot of practice. the best way to prepare for it is to attend a few interviews with other companies first then go to Capital one.
