I applied for the position through a referral from someone I knew already working at Capital One. After submitting my application, about a month later I got contacted by a recruiter to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview lasted about 15 minutes, they asked general questions about my previous employment as well as behavioral analysis questions. I was then contacted a couple weeks later to come in and do an interview in person, the person interviewing me was the director of the department and she was very friendly and welcoming. I was offered the position about a week after the interview. The whole application process was rather lengthy. I applied in about September of 2013 but didn't start until the end of January 2014.

They asked me to tell them about a time where I had to give "bad news" or information that a customer wasn't happy with and explain how I relayed the information and what reaction I got from the customer.
I just spent my whole night completing an assessment for what seemed like a call center role, only to be rejected immediately after answering personal questions about my high school education, age, and when I started providing for myself. It felt incredibly uncomfortable and awkward. This experience was violating, and to top it off, I got immediately denied by a computer and told to apply again in 6 months. I won’t be doing that.
