I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter about three days later. He moved me to the next step of the hiring process and said that the hiring manager (he gave me her first and last name) would be in touch with me. It sounded like I was going to be contacted in the next few days. So when I did not hear back from her after three days, I looked her up on LinkedIn and reached out to her there. She responded to my inquiry (which was very professional of her) and said that she "just heard that the position was eliminated." Bummer.
