I applied online. I interviewed at Centene (Saint Louis, MO) in May 2023
Interview
Was contacted several times by different hr for initial questions and set up interviews Had at least 5 interviews that were extremely long with hiring managers, project manager and then director
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview felt like an interrogation. Easy questions like root cause analysis, what projects I worked on, sql knowledge, Microsoft office knowledge were what it seemed intentionally made difficult. The longest interview was with the director which surprised me because by the time you interview with the director it’s really just an overview of everything. This director interviewed me for the entire hour with the same questions the manager asked previously. Also some of the interviews the staff wasn’t friendly at all.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Centene (Saint Louis, MO) in Jan 2025
Interview
structured, engaging, and moderate in difficulty, often focusing on behavioral questions using the STAR method. The process usually involves a recruiter screen followed by team or panel interviews, with many candidates noting a positive, welcoming, and mission-driven atmosphere
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Centene (Charlotte, NC) in Jun 2024
Interview
Lengthy interview process, but the recruiters and team leaders do a great job of setting expectations of what the following interview rounds will look like. Recruiters are also very responsive to questions in between rounds of interviews.
