I applied for this role and received the usual “we’re going with other candidates” generic email maybe a month or so later. Then the next week, I received an email to set up a video interview. The interview was scheduled for an hour, but we only talked for 30 minutes. The manager vaguely described the mission of the company, asked me a half dozen “tell me about a time” questions and told me that they’re understaffed multiple times. The interview wasn’t engaging and seemed like it was chore for the manager. I was told that I’d hear back about steps for a second interview later that week, but it was 2-3 weeks later when I got another generic rejection email.
