      Manager Technology Interview

      9 Nov 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New Delhi
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Delhivery (New Delhi)

      Interview

I got a call from the HR and a face-to-face interview was scheduled. On the day of interview, process started as expected, on time. The total number of rounds was not clear, there were two technical and one manager round. Almost everyone was in the office on a saturday. Though this didnt come as a shock as I already got to know about 6 days work from glassdoor. The real shock was be asked to be prepared if I have to join the operations staff for delivering packages. Now, I wont say this is something I would consider as a not-my-job, even flipkart's top management does this, but their case is more about PR building. Delhivery, I guess its shortage of staff. The interviewers, however, were nice and supportive. Things went well and I got a call from the HR in the coming week. Recruitment processes at Delhivery are not mature. Ok , granted that because its a startup. But why do you even call a person to negotiate when you dont have enough to offer? offering someone 15% of what he currently makes and saying "This is the final offer, tell me if you are interested by today eod" !!! I would have got this without doing anything and that too in my comfort zone, with no 6 day work and facilities like 2 days work from home in a week. Didnt call, got a call after a month with the new offer this time around 30% hike. The background verification process is pathetic. The third party that does verification on their behalf sends some one to my permanent address, gets photos clicked of family members as a proof !!! Around the same time, the agency calls my current manager and HR people to ask about me with a 10-15 questions?? totally ruined my relation with current employer. My advice to the hiring team: Someone who has experience of working with reputed companies is very less likely to have a criminal background that your verification guys sniff around . Stop embarrassing people, trust them with the information they are giving you
