I applied online. I interviewed at Elsevier in Aug 2020
Interview
1. introduction about yourself blabla bla
2. interview about the content on the resume
3. just casual talk about the projects and the solutions, they may give you several questions about how to design a system etc
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Elsevier in Sept 2020
Interview
Although the process was a little disjointed (like many companies during 2020!) the initial engagement with their recruitment specialist was friendly and helpful. The interview itself was a relatively technical conversation about behaviours, levels of exposure to technologies and coding. The process was conducted entirely over Zoom or the phone (year 2020).
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Elsevier (London, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
First had a call with HR. Then telephone the DevOps Manager who was rambling on and did not ask any questions. Then a telephone with 4 DevOps Engineers who without introducing themselves or a background started firing questions from the moment i joined. I then got a call from HR to say they will not proceed but with no reason, they "think" it's because they found someone else internally. Then an email to say they will not proceed because I have moved with a different candidate.
